Key Features of MustangSteve Power Brake Conversion:
1. Revised Pedal Ratio: Modern feel with less travel (~2" for front discs, ~1" for four-wheel discs).
2. Additional Firewall Bracing: Prevents fatigue cracking around the booster mount.
3. 9" Diameter Booster: Reliable performance; easy access to replacement parts.
4. Factory Fit and Appearance: Superior fit and function compared to original 65-66 boosters.
5. Dual Piston Master Cylinder Compatibility: No clearance issues.
Installation Notes:
- This kit allows modification of the clutch pedal for a cable-operated clutch, ideal for T-5 or Tremec transmissions.
- Fully welded quadrant design prevents loosening and wear; maintains a straight pull on the cable.
- Requires removal of the clutch pedal for installation; provides long-lasting, trouble-free service.
Additional Requirements:
- Later model 10" or 10-1/2" diaphragm clutch needed (e.g., Ford Racing King Cobra).
- For Toploader or T10 Transmissions: Fabrication needed for original Mustang standard transmission compatibility, including a cable-type release arm and new pivot bolt.

Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Will it fit my 4-wheel disc brakes?
Yes, the kit fits any combination of drum or disc brakes. Instructions specify the required master cylinder and it also fits any original 65-73 master cylinder.
2. What about Falcon and Ranchero?
Yes, with some extra work, it can fit other applications, but not as easily as the 65-66. A piece must be welded to the brake pedal to relocate the pedal pin. The 60-63 Falcon requires the original style master cylinder or a Shelby style export brace with a tandem master.
3. Will the tandem master cylinder clear the shock tower?
Yes, it clears by about 2 inches and does not interfere with the export brace, except on early Falcons and Comets, where the dual piston may need a Shelby style export brace.
4. Will it fit a 351W with Heddman headers?
Yes, it clears without issues, though you may need to remove the header for installation.
5. Why will it not fit my car with the original manual transmission?
The clutch actuation rod interferes with one of the booster stud attachment points. However, it works with a T5 or Tremec transmission using a MustangSteve cable actuated clutch.
