Power Brake Upgrade for a 1965/1966 Mustang with Front Disc Brakes:

This upgrade kit uses a Fox body booster paired with a 1" bore master cylinder, designed specifically for front disc / rear drum brakes.

• Pedal Modifications: Requires you to modify the pedal support and stock brake pedal for proper installation.

• Transmission Compatibility: Works with both manual (clutch cable conversion) and automatic transmissions. Will not work with factory z-bar setup

• Adjustable Proportioning Valve: Must be purchased separately for proper brake balance with disc brakes.

Frequently Asked Questions:

• Will it fit my 4-wheel disc brakes?
  No. This kit is specifically for a disc/drum setup.  See our MustangSteve kit for the disc/disc setup.

• What about Falcon and Ranchero?
  The kit can fit these models with some extra work, such as welding an additional piece to the brake pedal to relocate the pedal pin. For 60-63 Falcons, you must use the original style master cylinder or a Shelby-style export brace with a tandem master. 

• Will it fit a 351W with Heddman headers?
  The kit clears short tube headers easily, although the header MAY need to be removed during installation.

• Why won’t it fit my car with an original manual transmission?
  The clutch actuation rod comes through the firewall where one of the booster studs must attach. However, if you have a T5 or TKX transmission with a MustangSteve cable-actuated clutch kit, it will fit without issues.
