12.5" S197 Brakes for 65-73 Mustang

This kit allows you to install 2005-2014 Mustang GT front brakes on your classic Ford. You will need to source rotors, calipers, pads, and flex hoses.

Compatible Brake Options:

2005-2010 Mustang GT 12.5" front brakes – Requires 17" wheels

2011-2014 Mustang V6 12.5" front brakes – Requires 17" wheels

2011-2014 Mustang GT 13.2" front brakes – May require 18" wheels for clearance

2013-2014 Mustang GT 14" 4-piston performance brakes – May require 18" wheels for clearance

Note: Some 17” wheels may fit larger rotors, but owners must verify fitment. American Racing Torque Thrust II 17” wheels may need a thin spacer on front Cobra or GT calipers.

Compatibility:

Designed for drum brake spindles and hubs on 65-73 Mustang, Cougar, 60-65 Falcon, Fairlane, Torino, Ranchero, etc. Note that 65-67 disc brake spindles are the same as drum brake spindles, and a V8 drum hub is required. This kit will NOT fit Granada, Versailles, or 68-73 disc brake spindles.

Features:

Installs late model 2005-2014 Mustang GT 12.5" or 13.2" rotors and calipers onto existing drum brake hubs and spindles. Front caliper brackets are CAD designed and cut from 3/8" steel plate. No spindle removal or front end alignment is necessary. The vehicle's track width and wheel backspacing remain unchanged.
