Installation Instructions
Fitment

This assembly is designed for a T-5 or Tremec conversion with a cable clutch.

To use a cable clutch with an original Mustang standard transmission and classic-style bellhousing, you must install a cable-type release arm and a new pivot bolt (fulcrum) in the bellhousing.

You'll need a Mr. Gasket replacement fulcrum bolt and a Ford release arm from an 87-93 5.0 Mustang originally equipped with a T5, an aluminum plate welded into the bellhousing with a threaded 1/2" hole for the new fulcrum bolt, and a fabricated cable housing stop outside the bellhousing.

Vehicle Fitment

1964 Ford Mustang, 1965 Ford Mustang, and 1966 Ford Mustang

Questions & Answers
Q: What's included in this pedal support assembly?

It's an adjustable pedal support for 65-66 Mustangs set up for both the cable clutch pedal and the power brake pedal, and it comes with the ball bearing kit already installed - so the pedal shaft rides on sealed bearings instead of worn factory bushings right out of the box.

Q: Will this work with long tube headers?

Not recommended as-is. Like our other cable clutch components, long tube headers can crowd the cable/quadrant area and cause rubbing or binding. Plan on shorty/mid-length headers, or expect to modify header routing for clearance.

Q: Is this meant to pair with your 65-66 cable clutch conversion kit?

Yes - this support is designed to work with the 65-66 cable clutch quadrant setup and power brake pedal geometry, and being adjustable, it lets you dial in pedal position and cable travel during install.
