  • Adjustable billet aluminum cable stop / firewall brace
  • Clutch cable
  • Bendix-style booster

  • Proportioning valve

Note: This kit is built to order — please contact MustangSteve before ordering.

Fitment

This cable clutch kit is compatible with an original classic style bellhousing but requires installing a cable-type release arm and a new pivot bolt (fulcrum).

The quadrant modifies the clutch pedal for a later-model setup, especially useful when installing a late-model T-5 or Tremec transmission with a cable-operated clutch.

It is compatible with the MustangSteve Power Brake Booster and Ball Bearing Clutch Pedal Shaft conversions, and virtually eliminates clutch chatter caused by loose actuation linkage.

A later model 10" or 10-1/2" diaphragm clutch is required (e.g., Ford Racing King Cobra); the 10-1/2" clutch requires a late-model bolt pattern on the flywheel.

If used with an original Toploader or T10 transmission rather than a T-5 or Tremec, some fabrication is required.

Vehicle Fitment

1967 Ford Mustang, 1968 Ford Mustang, 1967 Mercury Cougar, and 1968 Mercury Cougar

Questions & Answers
Q: What's included in this Master Kit?

Pedal support assembly with ball-bearing kit installed, an adjustable clutch pedal stop, clutch pedal with quadrant, power brake pedal, and an adjustable billet aluminum cable stop/firewall brace — a complete cable-clutch-plus-power-brake pedal box upgrade.

Q: Is this version set up for full 4-wheel disc brakes?

No — this listing's master cylinder and pedal ratio are matched to a front-disc/rear-drum combination. If you've converted all four corners to disc, ask us about the all-wheel-disc version.

Q: Will it clear long tube headers?

It can be modified to clear long tube headers, same as our other 67-68 Master Kits.
