Questions & Answers
Q: Do I need to cut or weld my 67-70 unibody to install this?

No - it's designed to bolt to the factory crossmember mounting points on 67-70 unibodies, with no cutting or welding required for a typical install. Because these 50+ year old bodies vary slightly car to car, some owners find they need to slightly elongate a mounting hole for a perfect fit.

Q: Why doesn't this version include a parking brake bracket?

This is built for cars where the parking brake cable is being rerouted or isn't using the stock crossmember-mounted bracket, which is common on AOD/Tremec swaps. If you need to keep the factory parking brake cable routing, look for the version that includes the bracket instead.

Q: Will the AOD clear my exhaust with this crossmember?

The AOD is a wider transmission with a wider pan than the original manual or C4 it's replacing, so builders commonly need to modify or reroute the exhaust (H-pipe/crossover) to get clearance - this crossmember itself doesn't change that clearance requirement.
