Q: How much clearance do I need for this to fit?

You need at least 2-3/4" of clearance between the top of the clutch pedal and the bottom of the cowl. If you don't have that much room, the bottom of the cowl can be massaged upward to create clearance.

Q: Does this bolt on, or does it need to be welded?

This part requires welding to install -- it's not a bolt-on piece. Once welded in, it's designed to make cable installation easier and give smoother, modern-car-like clutch operation.

Q: Will it fit under the dash without other modifications?

Most owners report it fits with plenty of room under the dash, though on some firewall/cowl configurations (certain Falcon conversions, for example) the lower cowl panel needs to be raised slightly for clearance around the quadrant and cable.
