Questions & Answers

Q: Why do I need longer wheel studs for a disc brake conversion?

Disc brake rotors are about 1/4" thicker than the factory drums they replace, so the stock 1-11/16" wheel studs don't leave enough thread showing once you add a rotor, wheel, and lug nut. These studs are 2-3/16" long with a 0.623" knurl, sized specifically for use with MustangSteve front and rear disc brake conversion kits.

Q: Will these press into my original hubs?

Yes. They use a more aggressive knurl than stock so they get a solid, tight press-fit into your original front or rear hubs while providing the extra length the thicker rotor requires.

Q: How many studs come in a set, and how many do I need?

They're sold in a set of 10 (one hub's worth, 5 studs per side of an axle). If you're converting both front and rear to disc, or doing all four corners, order enough sets to cover every hub being converted.
