Q: What makes this different from a stock clutch pedal?

It has an integrated steel fulcrum on top, specifically so it can be used with a cable clutch setup, replacing the stock Z-bar-style linkage.

Q: Does installing it require additional welding?

The fulcrum is always welded on. The quadrant is also already integrated into the pedal on most kits -- the only exception is a weld-on quadrant kit, which requires welding it on yourself. Check the install instructions for your particular cable clutch kit to confirm which style you have.

Q: Is this the same pedal used across all years?

MustangSteve offers different pedal/fulcrum configurations by year -- for example, 1964-68 kits use a pedal with an integrated quadrant (unless you have a weld-on quadrant kit) while 1969-up kits use a pedal with fulcrum and clevis -- so confirm this pedal matches your car's cable clutch kit.
