Q: Where should this valve be installed?

It should go in the rear brake line only, between the distribution block/master cylinder and the rear brakes, so that adjusting it changes only rear pressure, not front.

Q: How do I actually adjust it correctly?

There aren't pressure gauges involved - instead, follow MustangSteve's official test-and-adjust process. Start with a few hard stops at low speed (about 10-15 mph) in a large, empty lot, watching for any excessive rear-end breakaway, then repeat at higher speeds (20-25 mph, then 35-40 mph), backing off the rear pressure at each stage until braking feels balanced. As a rule of thumb, set your final rear adjustment about 10% less than what testing shows you need, and re-check the setting on different pavement types and in damp conditions. Never tighten the adjuster knob all the way down, as that can stick the valve shut and block fluid flow to the rear brakes. See the full installation instructions for complete details.

Q: Does it include a brake light switch?

Yes, it comes with a pressure switch and connector for the brake lights, which works better than the stock pedal-mounted switch.
