Q: What problem do rotor centering rings solve?

On many disc brake conversions the rotor isn't a factory press-fit to the hub. A centering ring installs over the hub's bearing snout to positively center the rotor so it runs true instead of wobbling on the hub or small bearing axle.

Q: Will one ring size fit every brake swap?

Not necessarily. These rings fit Ford and a few other hub/spindle applications, but some bigger-rotor swaps (for example, using a larger 4WD-style rotor in a big brake build) need a larger centering ring, so match the ring to your specific hub and rotor bore.

Q: Do I need one of these if I'm just replacing rotors on an already-converted car?

If your original conversion kit specified a centering ring, reuse the same size and style when you replace rotors -- it's what keeps the new rotor centered and running true on the hub.
